Tortas are packed with fully baked bread and filled with cheese, vegetables and sauce. Besides this, tortas are very heavy and could keep you packed for hours. Moreover, you can also add a filling of your choice. I would suggest you include fish fillet as Mexican foods live and breathe over the sea.

Enchiladas/Enlomadas

Enchiladas are the heart of Mexican food, and unlike other foods, it’s “THE” Mexican food. Enchiladas contain tortillas folded over the top of the dish along with some tempting sauce which could add water to your taste buds. Enlomadas are similar to enchiladas, though both have a minor difference. Enchiladas are topped with sauce, while Enlomadas are made with a mole.

The Mole

The mole is considered one of the most popular dishes in entire Mexico and is made by mixing all the spices and chilis together. The most well-known dish among moles is the chocolate mole dish. Now before all of you come running at me making disgusted faces, you should know that chocolate was initially meant to be eaten as something sour until the Europeans added milk and sugar to invent a completely new taste. Apart from this, mole is considered to be one of the most complex dishes and requires an expert to extract the full taste of it.

Pozole

Although most of the soups available in the local market aren’t appetizing at all when it comes down to Pozole, it is a soup that could keep you awake at night with its unwanted cravings. Pozole is known for its amazing taste and is extremely healthy as it contains fresh veggies equipped with chicken.
